08 Dec, 2024This hospital is one of the worst I’ve ever encountered. I've never experienced such unkindness from medical staff. The majority are unprofessional, desensitized, and communicate in an aggressive manner, treating patients with little respect. They often make assumptions and speak to you as if you're not articulate. I've been here several times, and this experience was by far the worst. If you or a family member is admitted, please ensure someone stays with them, as the treatment is appalling. Only a few staff members showed any kindness or compassion. To make matters worse, I had to assist my father in moving from the transport bed to the table for a CT scan, despite having a medical condition myself. When I communicated my needs, it was ignored because they claimed there was no staff available. This place feels like hell, and I can't understand why it remains open—there must be countless lawsuits against them. I cannot recommend this hospital at all.

She welcomed me with a smile, pronounced my name nicely, showed understanding of what i was saying, listened to me and my concerns and was very assuring. She made me feel welcomed and at ease throughout my time there. She apologized for the wait time because the computer was down. Her smile really made me very relaxed throughout my appointment.

19 Sep, 2024Granted, I was told it wasn't a busy day but that is of no bearing. I was treated with the MOST AMAZING open ears, professional hands, and logical brains, that people could be paying 100's of k for. Two (though there were more) who stand tallest- a young doctor (MD-fellow) and military Veteran nurse (RN). The ONLY REASON I WON'T NAME THEM is because I believe everyone will go and specifically ask for them. Be an educated patient, but remember, you don't know everything; just like I did- remain humble, but open your mouth. I have made 1 edit, and this is to allow readers to know that I am speaking of the emergency room. EVERYTHING PRIOR to this note is ORIGINAL and from the ORIGINAL REVIEW; SO YES! still 5 Stars.

10 Oct, 2024The midwifery (and obstetrics) team at NCB is truly top notch, and a hidden gem in the Bronx. I wish more NYC birthing people knew about them! As a midwife myself, I understand how hard they work in there, and yet every patient that I have sent their way has been met without judgement, but with kindness, patience and understanding. Every midwife I've spoken to when transferring folks has treated me professionally and has gone above and beyond to make sure my client has felt safe. This kind of care makes transferring an easy decision, knowing that everyone will be treated with kindness and true trauma informed care. I can't say enough about Denise, Heidi, Michelle, Suzannah and all the other midwives truly fighting for their patients' autonomy. Thank you for all you do.

21 Nov, 2024Definitely don't recommend if u don't mind corrected the nurses mistake. 9th floor 4 days upsetting everyday. 2 good nurses 1 female 1 male the rest omg where did they graduate. Most uncomfortable bed I have slept on I was stunned to see that in a hospital. Stress level 💯 when I left. I've been to many hospitals but this has to be by far the worse and my 1st review I have ever posted. Never again.
