About the Business
The Employee Benefit Funds provide health, pension and other benefits to over 90,000 Union members, dependents and retirees of the New York City hotel industry.
These benefits are funded almost entirely by industry employers and are offered nearly free of cost to our members. Members do not make contributions to the benefits provided through the Funds, nor do they face co-pays or deductibles for their health coverage (except for a pharmacy co-pay of $5 to $15 for drugs on our formulary).
Training, scholarships and legal services are also provided, as well as a voluntary 401(k) program which members may contribute to as a supplement to their pension.
The Funds own and operate Health and Dental Centers in Harlem, Midtown, Queens and Brooklyn as well as an Industry Training Center in Queens. Over 1,000 doctors, nurses, counselors, clerks and administrative staff are employed or contracted with in-house to provide these services to our members.
Members’ benefits were established through a collective bargaining contract between the New York Hotel Trades Council (the “Union”) and the Hotel Association of New York City, Inc.

23 Oct, 2024I really love my medical doctor Dr. Torres at Harlem Medical Center. She is very patient and efficient. I love my foot doctor Dr. Kathleen Fallon at Midtown Health Center. She has helped my feet so much. I have been a patient of her for the last seven years. I really like Francisca the new medical assistant. The Midtown Health Center is the best.

16 Dec, 2024I received absolutely terrible service from Dr. Pascual. I was initially 5 minutes late for my appointment and had to wait an additional 5 minutes at the front desk because the receptionist was alone and handling a long line. When I finally got to his floor, Dr. Pascual let out a loud sigh, rolled his eyes at me, and immediately started scolding me, saying, “You need to hurry up; you’re already late.” His tone was condescending, and his attitude was appalling.I am in my third trimester, feeling sick and exhausted, and his behavior made me feel ten times worse. He clearly lacks the patience, compassion, and professionalism required to care for patients. His rude and nasty demeanor is unacceptable, especially for someone in this profession. I sincerely hope I never have to deal with this doctor again.

17 Oct, 2024Love the Midtown Health Center! I really like and respect Dr. Elliot NY medical doctor and Dr. Kathleen Reilly Fallon my foot doctor. These doctors care for me and give me great care. I really like the medical assistant Francisca on the 3rd floor. I miss Bob Pisano RN.

09 Oct, 2024This is the best medical center! I really like my medical doctor Dr. Elliot, my cardiologist Dr. Marino and my foot doctor Dr. Kathleen Fallon. Very professional and excellent care. They always answers my questions too.
