18 Aug, 2024For the most part this hotel is amazing. Right when you walk in, you get to see so many beautiful things. That doesn't stop in the lobby. Each floor is also decorated, and even the room is decorated. Even beautiful natural stone floors in the rooms and bathrooms. Parking is limited, but I was lucky enough to get a spot. Street parking is harder. My biggest complaint would be the bed. It was a basic spring bed with very little cushioning. I could feel the springs. That was not the best sleep I've had. Not overly expensive. No breakfast but I'm not always thrilled with the basic free breakfast anyway.

12 Oct, 2024Where do I begin. Let's start with check in. I booked this hotel for my disabled U.S. Army Vet brother and specified ADA accessible. Day 1-- Prior to his arrival, they gave away the 1-accessible room they had available. He had roam NYC from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. trying to find a hotel; all booked. They said, "We cannot accommodate people with disabilities." So, he called me upset. I tried to speak with the clerk, but she screamed, "I've been talking to your brother for 3 hrs. We cannot accommodate a person with disabilities." Does the Federal & State Government know about this place. They will now! Hello, there are specific laws that call for all hotels to be handicap accessible. To add insult to injury, they sent him on a wild goose chase to find accommodations. Mind you, this reservation was booked 3-weeks in advance. He is paralyzed on his right side. He has 1-arm and he wears a rt leg brace to keep him vertical. Even though they could not check him in nor accommodate him, they blocked his credit card for the full 7-day stay. Since he could not find a place to sleep, his son drove him back to the hotel & they claimed to have moved someone out & gave the accessible room to my brother. Day--6 Yesterday, he asked for clean sheets for the bed and they said, "Aren't you checking out tomorrow?" They never brought the sheets. While he was out, they picked up his towels. When he requested towels they told him they only give a certain number of towels to the guest and that he needed to trade out his old towels for new one. Well, they already entered the room and took them. No fresh towel to shower with. Day 7-- When his son tried to pick him up, the staff blocked the handicap parking with a company truck and refused to move out of the handicap space. The price was $1400 for 7-nights. People, stay here at your own risk. Dealing with these people wasn't worth having a stroke. Needless to say, I do not recommend. This is why I always stay in Connecticut.

18 Nov, 2024This hotel should be inspected by the Dept of Health! Horrible service at the desk to start with, filthy room with a horrid odor, and a broken heating vent system. We had to open a window to let the stench out while the heat option was not functioning. I ended up with a cold the next morning! Avoid like the plague! Absolutely disgusting!!

28 Sep, 2024The most horrible strange experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I never leave reviews, good or bad, but this felt warranted. The whole area smells like meat at piss and it’s no different when you walk into your room. Strange decorations everywhere, very old, no one around except the receptionist and the vibes were overall WAY off. Very unsettling. I wish I was exaggerating but unfortunately I’m not. Stay away fr.

13 Oct, 2024Our experience was much better than the reviews. It is now called The Paris Suites and was once rather splendid. It's now passed its best, but the bed and room were extremely clean.
