01 Dec, 2024Nice hotel. The room was very clean and had all I needed for a 1-night stay. The staff is very friendly, attentive and professional. Simple breakfast (there’s also free coffee all day upon request) and WiFi are included. They also provide you complementary bottled water (an absolute need after walking around all day in the city). They have cute rooftop too. The location is great, close to restaurants and public transportation (metro is just a few blocks away), yet quiet since is not in the middle of all the “madness”.

20 Oct, 2024Subject: Reservation Issues and Poor Management Experience I am writing to express my frustration regarding the handling of my recent booking with your establishment. On June 30, 2024, I reserved a room with two queen beds for an arrival on October 18, 2024. I made this reservation well in advance to accommodate my busy schedule, expecting everything to go smoothly. However, just one week before my arrival, on October 11, 2024, I received a call informing me that, due to a “City Ordinance,” my stay at The Lex could not be honored and that all rooms were fully booked. I was told I would receive a refund. A refund is not a suitable resolution in this case. Finding another hotel on such short notice is far more expensive than booking months ahead, as I had done. I had to escalate the issue and speak with two different managers to push for a solution beyond just a refund. Eventually, I was told I would receive a callback with alternative options at your other locations. Six hours later, I was offered only a room with one king-sized bed, which is not acceptable since we are a party of three. Sharing a single bed with multiple people is not a reasonable accommodation. While I understand that certain circumstances, like city ordinances, may be beyond your control, informing guests just a week before their arrival is unacceptable. This situation could have been handled more proactively and professionally. I strongly advise future guests to exercise caution when booking with your hotel, as the management’s handling of reservations leaves much to be desired.

17 Aug, 2024I recently stayed at the Lex Hotel in NYC and had a great experience. The staff was always attentive, polite, and greeted us with a smile every time we walked through the door. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from start to finish. In the mornings, they offer a simple breakfast with orange juice, coffee, fruit, and bread—perfect for a quick bite before heading out to explore the city. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to a subway station and a bus stop, making it super convenient to get around. Plus, the area felt safe, which was a big plus. The rooms are on the smaller side and a bit dated, but if you’re planning to be out and about all day, they definitely do the job. Overall, Lex Hotel was a solid choice for our NYC trip, and I'd happily stay there again!

23 Oct, 2024Clean and nice hotel with very friendly service. Small breakfast (muffin, croissant, coffee, fruits, cereals) is included and you can order free coffee from the reception anytime. Great location close to metro stations and restaurants. Only negative thing was that our room was in the basement so it was very dark all day. Luckily there is a lovely terrace at the roof where you can spend time and enjoy the sun.

02 Dec, 20241 star because cannot put 0 I booked a stay on their website for 2 nights. I picked a non refundable price but did not get an immediate confirmation by email or toast message on the website. Therefore I considered that it did not go through and went to a different hotel (The Benjamin much better by the way). After 30min I received a confirmation but it was too late so I contacted the hotel to cancel my reservation because they could not deliver an appropriate service and they just refused, plain and simple - could not care less. What a terrible awfull customer service for their own failure. I will never return to this hotel. So much money wasted.
