16 Oct, 2024My brother and I stayed for one night, we rented one of the smallest rooms with bunk beds, but it was just what we needed for the night. We found it to be surprisingly quiet while we were there on a Saturday night. we slept well, undisturbed. The shower had great water pressure and stayed hot. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Manhattan again. Convenient location for us with plenty of good food, shops, parking near by and a whole foods close by.

22 Jul, 2024I would rate The Ridge Hotel as average. One night cost me about $200, which might seem a bit much, but considering it's in Manhattan, the price is standard. You simply won't find the same quality for a better price. The positives of the hotel definitely include the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Additionally, the cleanliness and amenities of the hotel are commendable. The room has everything you need, from towels and toiletries to a coffee maker and a safe. You can make complimentary coffee and grab a snack in the lobby. On the seventh floor, there is a beautiful terrace with an amazing view. Truly wonderful. Another positive aspect is the hotel's great location, right next to the subway, making it very easy to get anywhere you need. As for the negatives, the hotel is located on a busy street in Manhattan, so you can hear street noise all night, especially on the lower floors. You can also hear other guests slamming doors. I have neutral feelings about the bed; the mattress was quite soft, which I personally liked, but others might find it problematic. Overall, I would say that The Ridge Hotel is a solid choice in New York, where you get real value for your money. I really appreciate the staff for their helpfulness and for maintaining the hotel in a clean, modern style. I would definitely like to return in the future but would request a room on a higher floor to avoid street noise.

06 Nov, 2024Ny is definitely expensive and this was on the cheaper side of NY. The room was a double twin and it was small. Definitely better for one person simply because if you both have luggage it's hard to move around. The hotel is very clean seemed well maintained. We were met by Jasmine when we arrived and we were both just thrilled with her checking us in she was very personable we chatted about her family her job where to eat. We were excited to see her throughout our stay but unfortunately we did not see her again until we were checking out and for some reason things took a very strange turn. We step off the elevator and me and my travel companion are glad to finally see her but she was very short with us. Never asked how our stay was how we liked anything just what's your room number you're all checked out. Me and my travel mate looked at each other confused but said nothing just gathered our things and left. Location is great it's walkable to many things

30 Nov, 2024My friend and I stayed for 7 nights. Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, location is great. Rooftop is amazing for morning coffee and sunsets. In rooms are microwave and fridge. Free coffee and candy's on reception. In basement area with TVhuge fridge, small kitchen and sofa. Everything works great. Every compliments for amazing stuff! Definitely recommend this place for cousy accommodation!

30 Sep, 2024The hotel has a beautiful rooftop. It’s the most fully automated check-in hotel I’ve experienced—you’re required to register online before arrival to receive your entry code and stay details. While they do have front desk staff, they don’t seem to handle check-ins directly. If you arrive late without registering online, you may run into some issues since the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7. The rooms are small but come with a fridge and microwave, facing a view of the East Village. The TV isn’t able to stream, so it’s more of a classic “movie night” experience with limited options. However, the real highlight is the rooftop, where you can get a distant view of the Empire State Building. The flooring is made of old wooden planks—somewhat decayed, creaky underfoot, and adding a unique charm. That said, be cautious with kids; my child was playing with a toy car on the floor and accidentally got scratched by an exposed nail from the old wood, leaving a mark that lasted about a week. The first floor has 24-hour K-cup coffee available, and the hotel is close to iconic spots like Katz’s Deli and Russ & Daughters. But what I enjoyed the most was the rooftop—it adds a lot of value to the overall experience, making this a very cost-effective hotel choice.
