I had been considering starting personal training for years, and I was looking for a gym that is welcoming but also challenges its clients. I found all of that and more at SSL—on my first call with Ryan, we discussed my fitness goals, and he made me feel immediately comfortable and matched me with my trainer, Alec. I've been working with Alec twice a week since then, and I cannot speak highly enough about how attentive he is and how great his training program has been for me. I highly recommend Soho Strength Lab.

02 Dec, 2024Soho Strength Lab helped me go from a full achilles tear and unable to walk, to fully sprinting like I'm the Road Runner from Looney Tunes. The coaches are knowledgeable and the facility has the space to allow clients to train like athletes (unlike many NYC gym and physical therapy offices). I highly recommend. FIVE STARS!

05 Dec, 2024If you had told me five months ago that my favorite part of the week would involve barbells and sweat, I’d have politely suggested a career in fiction writing—or maybe a good prescription. Me? A gym person? The very idea was laughable. Exercise was a necessary evil, the chore I never actually did. And strength training? Please. I’d tried it, hated it, and assumed my body was destined to remain in the "permanently noodle-armed" category. But then came Soho Strength Lab. Honestly, I don’t even remember why I signed up—maybe a momentary lapse in judgment, or sheer desperation—but thank goodness I did. Enter Colette, my strength-training sage and miracle worker, for 12 weeks of transformative workouts. Turns out, my body wasn’t "different"; it just needed the right guidance (and a heavy dose of accountability). Now, not only do I willingly choose to lift weights, I enjoy it. Like, genuinely look forward to it. I’ve seen gains (actual muscles—who knew?!), learned an incredible amount, and felt better than I ever have. It's as if Soho Strength Lab tapped into some hidden version of myself—the one who thrives on grit and perseverance instead of Netflix marathons. To Colette and the entire SSL team: thank you. You’ve turned this skeptic into a believer, and now the only prescription I’m recommending is a membership. Don’t wait five months like I did—get yourself to Soho Strength Lab.
