22 Aug, 2024Where to even begin - hiring Susan as our photographer was the best decision we made during our entire wedding process. There is no one more professional, caring and talented. She is an amazing communicator and got to know us during our engagement shoot so that she could know exactly how to shoot us on our wedding. Day of, she was wonderful. She was polite but in command of our large group. She was so creative with her directions and every single vision came to life perfectly. When we got the sneak peak photos back, we were in tears. We have never felt more beautiful. She captured our love perfectly. We cannot say enough about how amazing Susan is. If you’re getting married, it would be a huge mistake not to hire her! Thank you Susan and your entire team for documenting the best day of our lives with such care and beauty.

04 Dec, 2022We hired Susan Shek to photograph and capture our wedding on November 5th, 2022 at Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY. Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the most important wedding vendors we focused on. After all, they spent almost the entire day with you. Since they are with you for the most emotional moments of the day, we looked for someone who made us feel comfortable and who would pay attention to every detail. After researching and communicating with many of the best photographers in the NYC area, we hired Susan very quickly after a phone consultation. We were instantly impressed with her website, service offerings, speed in replying to us and the other reviews we had read. We met Susan in person for the first time during our complimentary engagement session at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Having an engagement session built into our photography package was one of the reasons we gravitated towards Susan. It was a perfect opportunity to get to know one another for a few hours. We had a great time and felt at ease that we would be in good hands once the wedding day arrived. We received our photos so soon after the engagement session- it was the most pleasant surprise. She captured so many special details that we hadn't noticed even occurred. We had so many favorite photos, it was hard to narrow down. As with many wedding vendors, Susan contacted us a month before the wedding day. We gave her all information, requests and details ahead of time to make the day of run smooth. The day of, Susan brought a huge team of photographers and assistants. Our wedding planner and a few of our wedding guests who are professional photographers were in awe with the team Susan brought and how professional and respectful they were. We couldn't have asked for nicer people to be a part of the entire wedding day. We gave Susan a lengthy list of inspiration pictures and family arrangements. She got every single picture captured. After the wedding, we went on our honeymoon and received all of our touched up wedding pictures less than 4 weeks from the wedding date. We are so excited to work with her on creating albums and printing portraits. The dynamic with the photographer as a wedding vendor is very different than other vendors. This relationship lasts well after the wedding day. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Susan and hiring her for many more occasions to come when we start our family. 14 Jul, 2024We cannot recommend Susan enough! My husband and I got married in Brooklyn in October 2023. We hired Susan and her team for photo and video. From the beginning, Susan was very organized, professional and proactive. Our engagement session was fantastic. Our pre-wedding planning was seamless and stress-free. On our wedding day, the weather was awful but Susan and her team were very creative and found ways to capture beautiful photos and videos while keeping us all dry! Our package included 3 Italian leather bound photo books, one for us and each set of parents. Our families absolutely loved these and they are a great way for us all to remember this special day! :) Thank you Susan and team for capturing our wedding weekend so beautifully and far exceeding our expectations!

03 Dec, 2022I cannot recommend Susan and her team enough!! My (now) husband and I met with Susan last fall to do an engagement photo shoot in Central Park. We were blown away by the pictures!!! Fast forward to this fall at our wedding and the pictures were only better!! Unfortunately due to the climate that day, we weren’t able to get the pictures I had envisioned but Susan and her team were beyond professional and the pictures still blew us away!! Susan is hands down the best in NYC!! Also - if you are debating doing a wedding video, DO IT!! The video was incredible! It incorporated our wedding song and the shots were incredible!! The best part about working with Susan is that she sent us sneak peaks days after the wedding and we got our full album within weeks!! We are currently waiting on our hand curated photo album by Susan and I just know we are going to be blown away!!

25 Oct, 2024My fiance and I worked with Susan for our engagement photos (we decided not to have a wedding) and I could not have had a better experience. Susan was responsive, reliable, and resourceful. And the photos came out great! Susan took our initial consultation call while she was on vacation spanning multiple time-zone differences. This was how dedicated she was to her craft. From the initial meetup to the engagement photoshoot, everything went off without a hitch. We had met with other vendors but connected most to Susan’s photography style and calm approach. Susan guided us through the process during the initial meeting and we exchanged emails leading up to the day of the photoshoot. Susan was patient with all my questions and even recommended me some makeup artists for the day of the shoot. You can tell that Susan is a professional and very knowledgeable in the industry. My fiance and I are camera shy, particularly me! I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to pose naturally. It ended up being a fun experience and after the first 10 minutes, I was able to relax into it. Susan was very gentle with her suggestions and she took the time to review my inspiration board for the sceneries I liked. Overall, we are very happy with the outcome and can’t wait to print out the photos.
