08 Oct, 2024I recommended this branch to my dad 20+ years ago. My Dad,mom and my sister took over when my dad passed away. After all these years gone by I never put my money in a bank account or anything but I decided to take my sister's advice and put my money there. They're ok and the workers never gave me a problem. But they have to pay more attention to our money. There's been a lot of hacking. Otherwise I can say that LESP FCU are good to go in my book

24 Oct, 2023Even though I'm not a direct member of the Lower East Side People's Federal Credit Union, my experience with them has been nothing short of impressive. As a member of a different credit union, I appreciate the interconnectedness of credit unions that allows for reduced fees and cooperative financial services. This is one of the reasons why I was drawn to use their services when I was in the area. Upon entering the branch, I was welcomed by a warm and professional staff that was eager to assist. Their space was clean, organized, and had a community-oriented atmosphere. The speed and efficiency with which they handled transactions was commendable. Additionally, there's a distinct sense of camaraderie and community support that you can feel when engaging with their team. The minimal fees, thanks to the credit union collaboration, are a testament to how financial institutions should prioritize the needs of their members over profits. It's refreshing to know that there are institutions like the Lower East Side People's Federal Credit Union that champion the ethos of credit unions by putting their community first. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the area, whether you're a member or not. They embody what a credit union should be: community-driven, member-focused, and dedicated to providing exceptional financial services.

24 Jan, 2024A bank for the community run by the community. I hate the big banks, so happy to be a member here. Plus my citi bike membership is now only 5$ a month because of it. No brainer.

20 Jan, 2023I really want to support the community, my assumption is a credit union is in the business of helping a community build wealth - but they don’t have any good savings plans or interest rates that entice keeping funds here. There is a lot of wealth in the neighborhood and with better service and products more people would use the institution.
