06 Sep, 2024Peter Hurley is BRILLIANT! It was an all around extraordinary experience! His lighting techniques and eye for a great shot are incomparable. He captures a whole human in an image! I admire Peter’s openness to a collaborative process, especially with a dancer/choreographer who likes to play around with some weird shapes of the body. He was %1000 percent ready to try new and interesting portrait ideas, as he ran with finding inventive angles and rigged truly unconventional and innovative lighting set ups to give me insane shots. Definitely not a cookie cutter approach. He makes you feel like a super star and can literally shoot anything and make it look OUTSTANDING. My only regret is that I can’t have more spectacular days like I did with Peter and his phenomenal make up artist Luis. Thank you Peter for being an innovator and a true artist!!!

Nearly four years ago, just before the pandemic, I had the honor of working with Peter Hurley at his workshop. I can confidently state that Peter is much more than a photographer; he is an inspiration, a mentor, and a true friend in the world of photography. His creative vision and ability to capture the essence of each individual are exceptional. From a Customer’s Perspective: The last time I had a photograph of myself that I truly liked was in high school for my senior yearbook in 1991.
