About the Business
Tap to pay your fare with OMNY. Use your own contactless card or mobile device or an OMNY card to tap to pay your fare. You can also pay using a MetroCard. Buses also accept exact change in coins.
Get free rides when you tap to pay. Only pay for the rides you take up to a cap of $34 in a 7-day period, as long as you use the same card or device.
OMNY cards and MetroCards cost $1 from a vending machine. All cards except for Single-Ride cards are refillable. OMNY card vending machines are now available at many subway stations, and all stations have MetroCard vending machines.
You pay the subway fare at turnstiles as you enter the station. You don’t have to do anything after.
On most buses, pay by the door when you board. On Select Bus Service routes, you can tap to pay with OMNY at the door. If you're using a MetroCard or coins, get a paper ticket from the kiosk before you board and keep it throughout your trip.

02 Nov, 2024Busses are good value with good frequency and information about minutes to next bus. Unfortunately, passengers keep coming in through middle exit doors to avoid paying. Suggest getting a transit card for easy payments and the card works for mta (subway) too.

08 Nov, 2024Nyc transit system is one of the best if not the best. Yes, sometimes the bus or train is delayed. Sometimes, we just need to add incidentals to your travel time. Other than that the system works 24/7 365 days a year any where in triboro be thankful some states have limited public transportation

07 Jul, 2024Jackie Gleason depot operates most routes on time, has okay headways. Their buses are well maintained and rarely break down. Some of their routes need work like the B37 and B70. Other than that this depot knows what they’re doing!

16 Nov, 2023This is an amazing depot filled with hard working people I’ve had an amazing experience with Jackie Gleason every time I rode a bus from the depot they are always clean and well maintained and the operators always have a smile on their faces 10/10 Depot.

04 Jun, 2024Myrtle Avenue /Wyckoff try to refill my disability METROCARD the machine too my $30 and the fare didn’t go on my card it’s been 2 months trying to get my money back going back and fourth with BY OTC card and the MTA status pending but yet mta say they do not have my money this the biggest fraud scam next to spectrum I’m going to keep calling writing to them till I get my money SMMFH don’t use a CC or DEBIT card to purchase a METROCARD
