30 Jul, 2024Dr Vimo is amazing, so sweet and so knowledgeable. I finally found my dentist in New York after more than 10 years living here . Every place felt like a factory or ripped off but doctor Vimo really explained and show me what kind of work i need in the future . The team there are very nice as well and the place is very clean. Best experience in the city so far

17 Sep, 2024After a horrible experience yesterday, I deeply wish I had taken my business elsewhere. My dentist referred me here for their periodontist, who told me I needed a gum graft and frenectomy to fix my receding gum. I picked a date, coughed over $100 for the consultation, and planned to be completely out of commission for the 2 weeks following surgery. I showed up day of and the person at the front desk proceeded to tell me completely inaccurate information: that I now also needed a BONE graft, and that the price tag was triple. After talking to 2 more people, it was clarified that no, I needed a gum graft, but that the original quote they gave me was just for the frenectomy part of the procedure — the 3x new price was accurate. I had thought the original $750 was a good deal, but $2450 was absolutely more than I would have agreed to if I'd been told that up front. This lapse in communication was completely unprofessional, and put me in a state of intense distress as I tried to figure out while laying in the dentist chair whether I should go through with the procedure — as this was now the only time I could do it — or start from square 1. I decided to just go through with it as I felt I had no other options, but had to fight back tears through the entire operation. The periodontist herself was effective, but the icing on the cake was how inept the assistant was. She kept alternately digging painfully into the side of my mouth and gagging me with the mirror she was using to hold my tongue down. When she was tasked with holding my lips down, she pulled them so hard I could feel the pain despite the anesthetic. It was like she had no awareness of the physical experience of the person on the chair. This dentist office needs to pull itself together. If you're looking for professionalism and accurate information, I suggest you keep looking. Update: follow-up care has been positive and helpful.

02 Jul, 2024I've been going to 34th Street Dental for almost a decade now and it's impressive how they've sustained a level of excellence from reception to the dentist. The receptionists are friendly and patient. The Hygienists always care about your comfort as they are cleaning your teeth. The Dentists are always happy to answer questions.

19 Jun, 2024Timely service, friendly staff. Everyone I've ever interacted with here has seemed to have a genuine care for the state of my dental health, and their advice has gone a long way to keeping me healthy since my first visit years ago.
