In 1979, a group of innovators at Columbia University came together to help poor people caught up in New York City’s evolving homelessness crisis. Their purpose was simple: to engage faculty and graduate students with individuals who were largely invisible in the city.
Today, as a completely independent non-profit since 1993, our inspiration remains the same, and we excel at developing affordable housing and providing integrated programs that link housing, health and social services for New York’s homeless and most vulnerable people.

22 Aug, 2024I have had several trainings with CUCS. They are consistent and informative. They continue to ask for feedback to improve their trainings and workshops.

14 Aug, 2024I've been calling this company's housing referral line for my client multiple times and these fools have no support agents available. I called another number but I was given for the referral, but whenever someone picks up, they immediately transfer me back to the previous number. Just ridiculous and unprofessional.

15 Jun, 2021Just an all around great feeling once you walk in and you get that sense of helpfulness vibes from everyone who works there. This place should be able to get 100 stars for all the work they do for us. Needing help shouldn't make you feel ashamed as we all come across though times. At least the Center for Urban Community helps you stand tall, with them.

16 May, 2024Horrible. I had like 5 caseworkers already. Nobody seems to know anything to help me transfer out.
